FAQ

Q- What size are the glass portraits ?

A- Copperfoiled pieces really have no size restrictions, however I prefer to work in fused glass and the size is dictated by the size of compatible backing glass.  All portraits on the website are 18″ x 24″ except Ezra Pound  which is 11″ x 14″. I find the 3 x 4 ratio to work best.

Q- What is the timeline for ordering a glass piece?

A- Any work on the website without a listed owner is only time limited by packing and shipping.

Because of the complexity of the work, commissions require 40-60 hours plus 2-3 trips through the kiln which translates to 2-3 weeks plus shipping time.  Pieces will be completed on a first come first served basis.

Q- Where do the patterns come from ?

A- All work is my design . Portraits are generally from photographs.

Q- Is your work only available in the categories listed in the gallery ?

A-Over the years I have done commissions with many different subjects and techniques and I am always open to new challenges.

Q- Where would you suggest hanging the glass?

A- I design for full bright sunlight so west, south or east windows work best.

Some commissions have been installed in interior walls with backlighting and have been very effective.
